Bowden Pillars Future is no longer just an idea.

• The land has been secured. Farming has begun.

• Thousands of trees have been planted as part of the wider nature restoration work.

• The village design process is underway.

• We have completed key surveys, held co-design sessions, worked with architects and specialist consultants, and begun conversations with planners and local stakeholders. We will be ready to show the designs soon!

We are now at an important threshold: completing the work needed to submit a full planning application for the village.

To do this, we are raising £150,000 through loans from aligned supporters.

This money will fund the remaining design, technical and planning work needed to bring the application together, including architecture, landscape, ecology, transport, drainage, energy, environmental performance, and the wider story of how village, farm and nature restoration will work as one connected system.

This is a way for people who believe in the project, especially those who may be interested in living here in the future, to help carry it through the next major stage.

Loans start from £5,000, with interest payable at the end of the term. Lenders will be recognised as contributors to the project and, where relevant, may be considered in the first round of prospective resident assessments.

Financial support is only one way to be involved. We also welcome people who can contribute time, skills, local knowledge, practical help, professional experience, or simply help us share the story.
